Mie Tracteur's
remarcable appearance in Oldtimer Traktor Magazine?
'Una
Donna Speciale'... Or how Mie Tracteur seemed te
recover the world...
My
apoligy, for writing this text in English.
Hopefully you all can understand it.
The German language is too complicated for me, I
am very sorry... Enjoy it!
Mie
Tracteur?
It
is a fact, not anyone has given this opportunity, to
appear in a well known German
magazine of old tractors. As being very busy for
16 years with this remarcable hobby, I received
at the end of may 2014, an email with a nice
request. The redaction was interested to make an
article about the Belgium-Sicilian tractorlady
Mie Tracteur. It is in all modesty not the first
request they have made me, many times I have been interviewed,
allways with great honour! Maybe such magazines
are interested in nice and female persons, in a
great world between men... Where they out
off inspiration at that specific moment, or did
they absolutely wanted this 'Donna' in their
magazine? All answers on these questions
are very easy te explain: here we have a lady
which owns a great passion for old tractors, and
last but not least, she drives them herself and
has even a remarcable old 'Mobilhome'
which she even takes to all her shows... So many
things all about one person, has to deliver a
great article! And because all of that, this
initiative became true...
Can
we make an appointment please?
From that particular redactor-journalist, I soon
received a warm and friendly email with a nice
request to make an appointment. They wanted to make a portrait about a
remarcable lady well known in the world of old
tractors in Belgium and Holland. He was so nice
that sometimes he made my sheeks go totally red!
And believe me, that doesn't happen very often...
We made our appointment during the 19th
Oldtimershow in Bocholt, organized by
Oldtimerclub BTM (Bocholt Tractoren &
Motorenverening) There stood the Italian tractor
of Mie Tracteur and also her mobile nostalgic
Museum, both in all its beauty and for everybody
who wants to see it...
BTM
19th Oldtimershow 2014, sunday 1st june...
Nine o'clock, the show has just opend there
doors for the
big public. A more or less nervous Mie Tracteur,
looking out for a journalisttype... Two hours
later I even thought this appointment will fall
apart, but no... Suddenly there appeared a nice
and good looking young man, with a great smile,
standing before me and talking German. This
moment was super! This person was so
enthousiastic, just like me! We stood each other
very well, from the first second we both laide
eyes on each other. But before we began,
between warm coffee and biscuits, we made some,
you can call them 'deals'. Deals which would
explaine that the article is going te be simpel,
but will deliver full respect and be
very classy. And so we began on it, at that
moment I knew I will be occupided all day.
Special thanks goes to organizer of this 19th
Oldtimershow, Cor Nijsen, thanks for the suberb
location and all 'the pampering'...
Be
welcome...
To begin with, I always give people a warm
welcome, also our friendly
redactor-journalist. Within the first second
people come to me, I want to let them feel they
are at home! And as usual, also our German
friend got overloaded by the charmes of Mie
Tracteur's, Italian coffee and biscuits, so far
that the interview was even delaided for a while. We
both enjoyed it a lot. And at last, the story
began... As I can say, my German friend was
several times surprised to hear everything I had
to tell him. Is it possible he never met such a strong personality? And that the world of
oldtimertractors only owns to men? That there is
a lady who has been working herself up the past
16 years to prove, ladies can even do better in
this world of old tractors? That he has never
seen a lady so obsessed by old tractors?
The interview was rolling, and my German friend
often looked up suprised... During the
interview we sometimes stopped to take pictures.
Visitors were looking very curious at those
moments, I can asure you that. It delivered us
both, nice smiles on our faces... My friend was
completely under the spell of what I had to
offer him. He took several hundreds of shots and
even more questions were waiting for answers. He
was indeed a professional in the world of
journalism, that's for sure! So that day went as
nice as it could be, in very warm and friendly
company. Many visitors looked up surpised, when
they saw the selfmade announcement with the
message: 'Here we work very hard on an article
for the German magazine Oldtimer Traktor. Please
do not disturb'. We even got a bit out off sight
of people, so they would't disturb us too often.
And life goes on, people were getting in and out
my mobile Museum, all harts were filled with the beautyness
of it. I can asure you, for this occasion I even
have done more then my best to let my
infrastructure shine in every way. Everything
was present, well worked out in every detail, so the pictures will show my
concept to all Germany, maybe even all the world...
If you will excuse me for my enthusiasm, but I
am so proud on what I do and what I deliver to
all people who want to see 'The remarcable world
of Mie Tracteur'. Finally all answers were
filled in, and all the pictures delivered a nice
smile on my German friend's face, that's for
sure! We both enjoyed a most bautifull environment,
topped with warm sun rays, an excited Mie
Tracteur in the company of all things she adores,
her beautifull Italian Landini and more then
original mobile Museum, and all that in greatest
company! Thank you! All day we talked as if our
lives were threat, hours passed much too quickly,
about 8 o'clock at evening we said goodbye and
returned both home with a hart completely filled
of satisfactions... Big hugs and kisses followed,
as I wished him a safe trip back home. And
ofcourse, some gifts were prepaired before and
also went home to Germany...
The
morning after...
After
this absolutely and moren then fine experience, there are
always some doubts... Doubts who tells me if we
have not forgotten anything, still so many
questions were tumbling in my head. But I am very
sure of it, this article is going te be top!
Written with lots of respect for my old Landini
tractor, my nostalgic Museum, both having the
company of female charmes.... And finally it
became what we both wanted to be: a classy
article with lots of pictures and where people
can fill up their harts while explaining and
showing how I live my life on this special way...
This hobby controlls my life, that's for sure,
and I like it a lot! Sometimes, if I have to
choose between my familiy and my hobby, it is
always a difficult task...
D-Day!
For
several weeks the announcement stood on my
homepage, there is something special coming,
have some pacience please, just wait and see
very soon... This edition was ment for the month
october, but many weeks before there was a
pre-announcement on the website of Oldtimer
Traktor Magazine. That delivered many visitors
from all over the world, but especially German people. Mie Tracteur's (small)
picture stood on the cover of Oldtimer Traktor
Magazine, a dream came true. Because of this my
website got more then overwelmed by German
visitors! I can call them with full conviction 'my
fans', I received several emails, some messages
in my guestbook and even many invitations!
Respect
this way of life!
My message which I wanted to give to people who
have read the article, has been as successfull
as I can dream about: we do have to once respect for what our ancestors have left
us. And if the curiosity of many visitors still be stimulated by my
appearance, I can only applaud! Maybe I can inspire some people to undertake the
same, so they also can make adults but more
important the small children happy on this
particular way. It is almost like magic,
this expierience I see every time I am on a
show, between everything I desire . It controlls
my life completely, and I am so happy with it,
that I want to let other people taste my special
message...
